Combe Martin is set in some of North Devon's most beautiful scenery and is an ideal centre for walking. The beach has rock pools on either side and a sandy beach at low tide. Excellent facilities nearby, including shops, pubs, cafés, public conveniences and a large car park.

 COMBE MARTIN HUNTING THE EAR OF RONE - 23rd to 26th MAY 2008
Over the Spring Bank holiday villagers hunt through the village for the “Earl of Rone” who is found at last, shot and thrown into the sea! The legend has it that Hugh O’Neill, after fleeing Ireland in 1607 and being shipwrecked in Raparee Cove was hunted and captured by a party of Grenadiers sent from Barnstaple.

The Fayre highlights the village of Combe Martin and refers back to the history of Combe Martin and its connection with strawberry production which was a large feature of the village employment. Enjoy this beautiful village with its many attractions including several very welcoming public houses.

 COMBE MARTIN CARNIVAL WEEK - 9th AUG. to 16th AUGUST 2008
The Combe Martin Festival is the highlight of the summer. A whole week of non stop events where everyone take part, all ending with an incredible firework display. There are wheelbarrow races, raft races, B-B-Q’s on the beach and much much more.

A yearly celebration in June of the rich cultural life of North Devon with over 200 events in 80 towns and villages. Features arts and entertainment alongside events connected to the history and natural beauty of the area.

 COMBE MARTIN WILDLIFE AND DINOSAUR PARK
This is a must see experience located in Combe Martin. The Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park features life sized animated dinosaurs roaring and spitting as they did millions of years ago, and genuine dinosaur eggs can be seen in the museum. Thrill to rides such as Into “Into The Light”, “Earthquake” and “Tomb of the Pharaohs” or visit the very extensive wildlife area.
